Chores may
include the following:
“Hot
Spot” means :
“Time Out” in an
appropriate spot ( indoor or outdoor area) depending on weather conditions, to
think about behaviour and how to rectify it.
Students placed on a “Hot Spot” or “Double Hot
Spot” are required to sit in a designated area generally away from other
student contact.
“Hot Spot” runs for the duration of morning tea
time (10.40-11.00)
“Double Hot Spot” runs for the duration of morning
tea and lunchtime (12.45 to 1.10). It may include eating lunch 12.30 – 12.45 in
a ‘Hot Spot’ area.
The “Time Out” is a period of withdrawal from
interaction with other children. The child’s part of the Advice Letter will be
completed during the “Double Hot Spot” time.
Observation and any necessary supervisory
intervention will be carried out by the quad duty teacher primarily and/or any
other staff member as may be required.
