Teachers are available for parent/teacher discussions
on most school days after
Currently there are two set times
parents/caregivers receive progress reports on children’s academic and social
development. During the last four weeks of Term 2 class teachers will send
appointment times home inviting to parents/caregivers to visit the school to
discuss the progress and achievements of their child. The discussions focus on
Current Strengths, Literacy, Numeracy, Social Skills and Goals to be achieved
over the 2nd half of the year and beyond.
During the last four weeks of Term 4 a written report will be sent home
covering all major curriculum areas. If you as a parent/caregiver have major
concerns deriving from the written report, you may like to arrange a discussion
with the class teacher in the first instance.
BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT
We believe that through early intervention and parental co-operation,
disruptive and irresponsible behaviour should be minimized. An effective plan
ensures that learning and social expectations are met. The plan is reviewed
regularly, at least annually. The plan does not always work for some children but is set to safeguard all children. Behaviour Management Policy,
Behaviour Management Plan, Code of Conduct and Expectations included in the appendices.
SELF REVIEW
B.O.T. Activity & Self
Review Programme is included in the appendices.
NEW OR REVIEWED POLICIES
All new or reviewed policies will be distributed to school families in
draft form and as part of our consultation process parents/caregivers will be
given a two week period to submit any relevant ideas in writing for
consideration by the Board before ratification. Changes deemed to be cosmetic
at review time will not be sent out to parents for consultation.
