Welcome back to term 3. The year is flying by. Another busy term is ahead of us Welcome to our new principal Angela McQuarrie and Rachel Garratt. Rachel is a third year student from Waikato University she has recently moved to the area and we are fortunate to have her in the school. She will be working towards taking full control of the class for 2 weeks near the end of the term. We will be working closely together to ensure there is as little disruption as possible. Hiraina Tamihana will be taking the class on a Friday. What’s going on in the school We have a tree planting day on the 2nd Thursday back it would be great to have as many parents/ caregivers as possible. On Thursday 30th July, the whole school will be going to the Drysdale’s Farm to help plant trees. This is part of a project to enhance and restore the part of the Manawatu River that runs through their farm. A BBQ lunch will be provided. We will also have Settlers Day later in the term. Our school wide big idea for our inquiry this term is collaboration and the value we are focusing on is empowerment. What’s going on in the class Rachel will be leading a gymnastics programme for our physical education focus this term I am sure all the tamariki will enjoy this! Term 2 2020
Welcome back, Well it certainly has been an unusual time. It is good to be once again settling into school routines. Thank you very much to all you wonderful parents who supported your child's learning during lockdown. It was so good to see parents, grandparents and siblings at the Merit Assembly on Thursday. The children certainly did you all proud. Thank you all for coming. As you will know Elisabeth is no longer at the school and I wish to welcome Hiraina to Redet, she is now responsible for the 0.2 ( 1 day ) in Redet and this is a Wednesday. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or queries. I look forward to seeing you all at the three way conferences on the week of the 22nd of June.
